///EN: VerifyFiles is a command line utility to verify the integrity of files and folders using MD5 Checksums and/or file version information (exe & dll files).
To start using VerifyFiles you will have to create an XML file, that VerifyFiles will use to check the integrity of a given folder and its sub folders. The XML file contains all files that are required to be inside the given folder and additionally some integrity information.
VerifyFiles will utilize all CPUs found in the machine it’s running on to verify / enumerate files in a given folder (multi threading). This speeds up things enormously. (Factor 10 on a i7 4 core machine with Hyper Threading.)
If the verification fails (files are missing, corrupt or out dated), VerifyFiles will return an error code of 1. If the validation succeeds, VerifyFiles will return the error code 0.
The XML file can be created manually or by using the VerifyFiles command line switch -create. You can define optional files and folders or delete rules for out-dated files.

VerifyFiles benötigt eine XML Datei, in der alle zu überprüfenden Dateien aufgeführt sind. Die XML Datei kann optional noch weitere Prüfinformationen enthalten.
VerifyFiles nutzt multithreading, also alle CPUs / Prozessorkerne, die im System vorhanden sind, um die Prüfung durchzuführen. Dadurch wird die Prüfung enorm beschleuningt. (Faktor 10 auf einem Intel Cor i7 mit 4 Kernen & Hyper Threading.)
Kann der Ordner erfolgreich validiert werden (alle Dateien sind aktuell, haben die richtige Version und sind nicht korrupt) gibt VerifyFiles den Fehlercode 0 aus. Sind Dateien falsch, wird der Fehlercode 1 ausgegeben.
Die XML Datei kann manuell oder automatisch mit dem Schalter -create erstellt werden. In der XML Datei können auch optionale Dateien und Ordner sowie Löschregeln für veraltete Dateien definiert werden.
